Polaris Learning in partnership with Fugro Marine Service B.V. are developing and implementing a Competence Assurance Programme for Marine Personnel on the Fugro Synergy Drillship.
The role of Polaris Learning is to develop the safety case for Fugro in line with best practice, with the aim to:
- identify the safety case related competencies required by Marine personnel
- Develop the appropriate assessment tools to enable the onboard Marine crew to assess and manage the competency programme
- Define and manage the relationship between the Synergy Marine Crew Competency Set, the STCW Code and IMCA competency guidelines where appropriate
