Setting the Standards
This is one of the critical stages of "getting it right first time" which means overcoming some of the common pitfalls:
- using national standards which may not fit the business
- setting standards too high
- setting standards that are dominated by general / soft skills and take the focus off the essential technical competencies
The aim is to produce a consistent set of standards which needs effective processes in place. please use the link at the bottom of this page to download our presentation on skills and competency analysis.
We have developed standards and solutions across the industry:
- Production - for CROs/Operators and Maintenance personnel
- Drilling - for all crew positions for both platform/floater
- Services - production, well services, drilling etc
- Marine - management, rov, diving, survey and deck crew
- Engineering -general, electrical and drilling engineering
- Project Management
- Leadership, management & supervisory competencies
- Onshore - a range of engineering, workshop, project management, client management and other critical positions
We have also implemented N/SVQs in a range of qualifications options
